Upcoming Michael Jordan Sneakers
The first Air Jordan sneakers were released by Nike in
1985. Since then there have been hundreds of styles put on the market. Nike is continually innovating with
its designs and colors and so they release around a dozen new styles of shoes every year. Each shoe has a
limited edition release, perhaps of only 100,000 to 500,000 pairs in some cases. When those shoes sell out,
they don’t make any more. This has become a major marketing tool for Nike. There are many people who follow
all of Nike’s releases and eagerly await the upcoming Michael Jordan sneakers
releases.
The latest brainchild of Nike’s Air Jordan line is the Air Jordan Fusion VIII. It
is a black shoe that had the strappy upper design of the original Air Jordan VIII. However, it called a fusion shoe
because the iconic 23 is missing from the upper and the soles employ the same technology as the Air Force 1 lines
of shoes. There is no word yet on when this shoe will be released though pictures are already being drooled over by
Air Jordan fans.
The other anticipated upcoming Michael Jordan sneakers are a retro release of the
Air Jordan XII White/Reds. These shoes were first designed and manufactured in 1997, but have been off the market
since then. In December of 2009, they will be re-released at a retail price of about $150. These shoes come in a
distinctive red and white style. The red sole extends up the side of the shoe almost to the top. The stitching on
the remaining white high top fans away from the red sole. On the heel is decorated with a black stripe sporting a
large 23. These shoes are nothing if not distinctive. If you can’t wait until Christmas, you might be able to find
a few pairs available on internet sites like E-bay.
To increase their customers’ anticipation, Nike releases information about
upcoming Michael Jordan shoes in drips and dribbles. First there will be a press release, then a few exclusive
photos, and finally a few coveted trade show pairs will circulate on the internet. However, whenever the release
date comes, customers are not disappointed.
